Goodwill Bins Florida Store Locations

Looking for Goodwill Bins in Florida?

Ten outlets, more than any other state on this site. They run the length of the peninsula from Miami up to Panama City.

Six separate Goodwill organisations operate them, so rules and rates change as you move around the state.

Goodwill Bins Florida | Outlet Store Locations & Prices

What Are Goodwill Bins?

Goodwill Bins are the final stop for donated goods before they get baled and recycled.

Nothing is hung, sorted or tagged. It all goes into large rolling bins and you pay by the pound at the register.

Staff pull bins and roll out fresh ones through the day. That rotation is why people come, and why resellers queue before opening.

Florida Goodwill Outlet Pricing

Clothing sits around $1.99 a pound at most Florida outlets. Orlando Taft and Tallahassee both run at that rate.

Heavy items are the trap. Under a per-pound model a single dinner plate can cost several dollars, and staff at Tallahassee will weigh things for you before you commit rather than let you get a shock at the till.

Ask about flat rates on furniture and large goods. Most locations price those separately.

Watch For Midday Closures

This is the Florida quirk that catches people out, and it isn’t posted online consistently.

Miami shuts the whole floor around 1:45PM, clears everyone out, restocks, then readmits in batches roughly half an hour later.

Fort Lauderdale closes from about 12:30 to 2PM for the same reason and requires shoppers to check out twice a day. Fort Myers closes from around 11:45AM to 12:30PM.

If you’re driving any distance to those three, ring first.

Heat And Air Conditioning

Several Florida outlets are unconditioned warehouses. St Petersburg in particular has drawn heavy complaints in summer.

Go at opening. St Petersburg opens at 7AM, the earliest of any outlet on this site, and that first hour is by far the most comfortable.

The main Orlando outlet and the better of the city’s two by a clear margin. 521 reviews and staff who get named repeatedly for keeping rotations orderly.

Clothing is $1.99 a pound. Nothing is sorted by size or gender and bedding is mixed in, so allow a couple of hours.

Carts run short at busy times. Some regulars bring large canvas totes instead. 3.5 stars.

Northwest Orlando and the more competitive of the two. Reviewers describe rotations here as the most cut-throat they’ve encountered anywhere.

Filming is not permitted, though it isn’t well signposted. Worth knowing if you make content.

Closes at 5PM, an hour earlier than Taft. 3.2 stars from 118 reviews.

Best rated of the South Florida outlets at 4.0 from 514 reviews, with a genuine reputation for vintage and occasional designer pieces.

The midday shutdown is the thing to plan around. Everyone checks out and leaves around 1:45PM, then they readmit in batches about half an hour later. It means standing outside in the heat.

No car park. Paid street parking only, which is a real constraint here. Bring your own bags.

Stock rotates frequently and quality runs better than the South Florida average. Mid-level brands rather than designer.

Closes roughly 12:30 to 2PM daily for cleaning and restock, and you have to check out twice across a full day. Annoying but predictable.

Parking is limited and floods in heavy rain. Get there before noon. 3.4 stars.

Opens at 7AM every day, earliest of any outlet on this site, and that early start is the reason to come.

No air conditioning. In a Florida summer with a hundred people on the floor, that is the defining feature and reviewers do not hold back about it.

Deep black bins rather than the usual blue, plenty of carts, and they hand out large clear bags at checkout. 4.0 stars from 122 reviews.

North Florida’s main outlet. Prices are genuinely low, with shoppers reporting eight items for around four dollars.

The line system is the problem. There’s no signage explaining when you can approach a new bin, and both staff and regulars enforce rules that first timers have no way of knowing.

Ask someone at the counter how it works before you start. Closes at 5PM. 3.3 stars from 288 reviews.

Best rated outlet in Florida at 4.1 stars, and one of the smaller ones.

Rotation runs about hourly. Unusually, sizes are kept roughly in order here, which almost no outlet bothers with.

Staff will weigh an item and tell you the price before you commit, which saves the classic mistake of falling for a heavy set of crockery. Open until 8PM six days a week.

Panhandle option and one of the cleanest outlets in the state. 4.0 stars from 366 reviews with consistently warm comments about staff.

Wide range beyond clothing, including furniture and books. Signage explains the pricing properly, which is rarer than it should be.

Rotation is the weak point. Several regulars report bins not being changed often enough. Open until 8PM six days.

Southwest Florida’s outlet. Note the west entrance, it isn’t obvious from the road.

Closes roughly 11:45AM to 12:30PM daily and this isn’t posted reliably anywhere. People turn up and get turned away.

Children under 12 are not permitted, unusual for Florida. Bins have been reported as running thin late in the day. 3.3 stars.

Longest hours in Florida at 8AM to 8PM every day, and the lowest rated outlet on this site at 2.4 stars.

The complaints are almost entirely about crowd behaviour rather than stock or staff. Reviewers describe pushing and open arguments over merchandise.

The online auction pickup counter is three doors down from the bins entrance, not inside it. If you’re new to bins, start somewhere else in the region.

Tips for Shopping Florida Goodwill Bins

Check for midday closures first. Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers all shut mid-day and none of them post it reliably.

Go early. St Petersburg opens at 7AM and several outlets have no air conditioning.

Gloves at every location. Broken glass in bins is a recurring complaint statewide.

Ask staff to weigh heavy items before you commit. Tallahassee do this as standard.

Bring your own bags at Miami. Bring your own cart or tote at Orlando Taft when it’s busy.

No under 12s at Fort Myers.

Everything is as-is. No returns at any Florida location.
