Looking for Goodwill Bins in North Carolina?
Five outlets, all in the western half of the state. Charlotte, Asheville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Conover.
Nothing east of Greensboro. Raleigh and Durham have regular Goodwill stores only, which catches a lot of people out.
What Are Goodwill Bins?
Goodwill Bins are the last stop for donations that didn’t sell at a regular Goodwill.
Nothing’s hung or tagged. It goes in big bins and you pay by the pound at the till.
Fresh bins roll out through the day. That’s the whole appeal, and it’s why the resellers are there at opening.
North Carolina Goodwill Outlet Pricing
Clothing sits around $1.99 a pound at most locations. Asheville and Charlotte both run at that rate.
Three separate Goodwill organisations operate these stores, so rates move independently. Southern Piedmont covers Charlotte, Triad covers Greensboro, and the western stores sit under a third.
Greensboro has started using flat price bins alongside the weighed ones, which some regulars aren’t happy about.

Half the building is a regular Goodwill and half is bins, so you can do both in one trip.
Rotations here are frequent, which regulars from Greenville and Charlotte both mention as the reason they drive over. No dressing rooms or mirrors on the bins side.

Run by Triad Goodwill with a retail store attached. Furniture appears seasonally on both sides.
Rotations are messier here than Charlotte. Staff ask people to wait until all bins are down and it doesn’t always get respected.

Tidier and calmer than most, but reviewers consistently say the stock is thinner. Light on brands.
Strong on plus size clothing if that’s what you’re after. Bring your own bags, they don’t provide them. 3.8 stars.

Bins are completely unsorted here. Kids, mens and womens all mixed together, so budget more digging time. Wide range beyond clothing though, from bikes to light bulbs.
